A Taste of Japanese Liquid Gold!

I went out for sushi a couple of nights ago and my friends talked me into drinking sake bombs.  I enjoy sake, but never actually tried a sake bomb.  I was told to drop my shot glass of sake into a glass filled a little less than halfway with Sapporo beer.  I enjoyed the sake bomb so much that I decided to order a bottle of Sapporo and I was not dissapointed.  This beer is very smooth and easy to drink.  The bottle claims that this is "Japan's Oldest Brand" beer, and I can understand why it's been around for so long.  It tastes very pleasantly different than any other beer that I've ever tried.
The reason why it tastes so different is because it is made out of rice.  I love rice and I was pleased to actually taste a distinctive rice flavor in a beer.  I was very impressed with this beer because I am a light beer drinker and even though this isn't a light beer, it was not heavy at all.  It also surprisingly didn't taste watered down like most American beers.  I would definitely recommend drinking Sapporo with sushi.  Since it's not heavy, it wont fill you up and I find that it compliments almost any Japanese cuisine.  It's nice to drink a beer that lives up to what it claims on the bottle.

Overall, I rate this beer an A.
